How can I calculate the MIG welding resistance

How do I calculate the amount of gas for MIG / MAG welding?

The amount of gas for MIG / MAG welding is given in liters per minute (l / min).
You can perform the calculation using the following rule of thumb:

Welding wire diameter x 10 = l / min

Example: At 1.2mm wire should the gas on about 12 l / min can be set. This can of course still be adjusted depending on the environment / process.
