How do I make a toddler beautiful

Seven steps to a good night

Tips

Does your child not want to go to bed in the evening? This good night routine can help you fall asleep!

Hand on heart: how often have you already experienced this situation? Your toddler doesn't want to sleep and turns up again in the evening. And then you face the huge challenge of somehow getting your little one to sleep.

Because of course you know that good sleep is super important for your toddler in addition to a healthy diet. It experiences and learns so much every day that it can only process all these many impressions properly at night. Plus, it's growing like a world champion, which also requires a lot of sleep. And of course your little adventurer simply has to relax and gather energy for the next exciting day.

Unfortunately, your toddler often doesn't find sleep that important and would much rather continue to experience and discover. If this sounds all too familiar to you, a loving bedtime routine may be right for you. You can end the eventful day with a common ritual. It can help your little one gradually calm down and sleep more easily, despite all the excitement.

While we “previously” planned our days in advance, now the children determine our everyday life. Everyone just # at their own pace

Fall asleep easier with a daily bedtime routine

A toddler practically learns to walk and speak by itself. But it needs your help in falling asleep and staying asleep. With an empathetic routine, you can teach your little one to develop a stable sleep rhythm.

To do this, create an environment in which your child feels safe and secure. Taking the same steps before going to bed will help your toddler get used to the ritual. As long as your evening before going to sleep is always the same, the individual points of your common ritual are not that important. Here you and your little one can find out together and try out what is important for you and what works well.

We asked our Milupa mums and put together the most popular steps for you.

Woe to you if you don't stick to this order exactly - then we'll get to hear something! 😉

Seven steps to a good night

Last round of play to let off steam

"Please run one more time!" Give your little whirlwind some exercise before the family can relax. TV, cell phones or tablets should be taboo now, as their bluish light wakes up and prevents your toddler from falling asleep. Rave another round or play with the current favorite toy.

Family dinner

You all eat together and everyone can tell how their day was. Your little one sits and eats proudly with the big ones at the table and feels good all around. The usual large portion of easily digestible dinner is particularly suitable.

Last milk moment with a cuddle unit

What a wonderful moment for two when your little one is snuggled close to you and enjoys a cup of delicious Milupa children's milk. And so the particularly beautiful can even be combined with the useful. Because Milupa children's milk provides nutrients that your toddler needs even at night.

Time for the bath and the pajamas

The bed is calling! So off to the bathroom and quickly slip into your cozy pajamas. Incidentally, if your toddler's sensitive skin tolerates daily bathing well, then a short warm bath is also a wonderfully relaxing and calming ritual.

Do not forget to brush your teeth

Of course, the teeth are then also brushed - ideally in teamwork with mum or dad's help

Good night story

But now get under the covers! Now you can tell the most beautiful experiences of your day again, sing together or look at a book. Enjoy this intimate end to the day together.

bedtime

At the end there is of course a good night kiss, then you switch off the light. Your little one is sure to like falling asleep in the children's room under an enchanting sky full of luminous stars

Discover your bedtime routine together

The most important thing in a bedtime ritual is consistency. So repeat your steps in the same order and length every evening. It's not that easy at first. But this daily routine gives your child the necessary security and confidence to feel completely secure and protected. And so it can gradually calm down and finally fall asleep blissfully.

It's best to just try it out. You and your child can develop your very own sleep ritual over time. Falling asleep works a little better, step by step
