James Cameron lifts Inception to the Oscar throne

Like a lot of movie buffs, Avatar director James Cameron disagrees with the Academy's decision to leave Christopher Nolan's directing for Inception out of the Oscar nomination. For him, Inception was the cinema highlight of the year.

There were many critical voices among you movie pilots about the decision of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences not to include Christopher Nolan in the elite circle of nominees for the Oscar for best director for his dream world blockbuster Inception. Now James Cameron joins the crowd of the incomprehensible. As the Hollywood reporter reports, he considers Inception to be the most amazing film of the past year.

At the Hollywood premiere of the Sanctum 3D he produced, James Cameron clearly expressed himself as a fan of the dream world thriller: “I loved Inception and wish he had got more (Oscar nominations). I wish Christopher Nolan had been nominated to direct the film because I think it was without a doubt the most amazing film creation and director of the year ... but now he's not even in the running. I deviate from the Academy’s tastes on several points. ”

Nevertheless, James Cameron considers the competition to be exciting this year due to the many strong contenders and by no means as clear as the media at times portray it. Although he himself had his favorites for the Academy Awards on February 27, he did not want to reveal them in a loyal manner. The Oscar jury awarded David Fincher (The Social Network, Tom Hooper (The King's Speech), David O.
