What was your most creative lucid dream
12 incredible benefits of lucid dreaming
It's a lot of fun to escape into an imaginative, clear dream world. Yet the benefits of lucid dreaming in the real world are truly breathtaking. Here are 12 of them.
Clear dreaming is an all-encompassing experience. An explosion for the senses. An alternate reality in which you can live free from all your fears and inhibitions, confident that you can do absolutely anything in the world.
This release has a significant impact on your waking life.
But how can dreams affect the real world? Surely the novelty of a great lucid dream will wear off at some point - and then what?
Today I want to share 12 amazing benefits of lucid dreaming, both while sleeping and waking, by showing you real-life examples that will inspire you to develop your dream life further.
# 1 - Clear dreamers create their dream plots in advance.
There are unlimited possibilities to design every imaginable dream scenario in advance. Using both dream-induced and wakefulness-induced techniques, lucid dreamers can create elaborate dream plots before they even go to sleep.
The more excited you deal with the dream in advance, the more likely it is that you will dream it. This can then lead to lucid dreams by including pre-wired scenarios for lucid triggers.
Do you long to know what it feels like to sail around the Mediterranean on a super yacht…. or to go down Mount Everest on a snowboard… or to glide over the Grand Canyon on a kite…. You can find out.
# 2 - Lucid dreamers feel the exhilarating freedom of flight.
When I dream clearly, I fly, hover or glide almost anywhere. It's so much fun - and if given a choice, why do you still walk?
When you fly, your awareness is awakened throughout the experience.
It then feels like that's actually happening right now.
You fear that you will fall (and you do), but the confident expectation that you can fly ensures your successful aviation. For me, lucid flying is the most constant and enjoyable activity in my dreams.
# 3 - Lucid dreamers meet and interact with their heroes.
There are a lot of personal heroes who inspire me to think and act differently in my personal and work life.
Brian Cox. Richard Dawkins. Derren Brown. David Mitchell. David Attenborough. Richard Branson ...
And let's not forget the deceased: Nikola Tesla. William Blake. Salvador Dali. Michael Chrichton.
There are no limits here. Who would you choose to meet him in your lucid dreams? What would you ask her The possibilities are endless, and the effects of these wonderful, clear conversations on my waking life are profound.
# 4 - lucid dreamers conjure up dream characters for sexual intimacy.
Speaking of meeting your idols ...
Not all of these encounters are purely academic or inspirational, you see?
Lucid dream sex is a great experience and it makes it possible to conjure up any partner - famous or unknown.
In fact, sex and intimacy are dazzling lucid dream triggers for me, because in my waking life I could never imagine being with anyone other than my partner. So when I make out with Margot Robby, then - BAM - I realize that I'm dreaming. This is why even the incubation of a sexy lucid dream is an easy trigger to actually become lucid.
# 5 - Clear dreamers travel in time and space into other "dimensions".
Clear time travel dreams really blow away the gray areas of the mind. Because in my experience, they never really meet my expectations. It's a journey through time with a twist.
The past and the future are full of surrealism, which makes me wonder if I am not just traveling in an imaginary dream timeline, but actually in a parallel universe. That makes it possible for me to explore other worlds.
Of course, I firmly believe that all lucid dreams happen in the head. But clear time travel dreams remain a unique and exciting experience.
# 6 - Lucid dreamers are discovering a personal purpose in life.
In recent years I have used my lucid dreams to consolidate my waking philosophies - to find out what it is about.
A dream came to the conclusion that the meaning of life is to discover a meaning for life. So to the fact that there is no real purpose at all unless I can create one.
On closer inspection, this is probably the most exciting answer because it means that the meaning of life will develop with my consciousness. My current mind may no longer look like my mind ten or twenty years ago. So my next clear dream goal is making sense itself a reality.
# 7 - lucid dreamers conjure up and entertain themselves with their true selves.
Often times, lucid dreamers have discovered that there seems to be a hidden consciousness behind the dream. This observer, this wiser self, speaks openly and directly, referring to both waking and dreaming elements.
The iron smith Robert Wagoner, author of Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self, calls it a consciousness of its own within.
I saw it as a true self; an awareness hidden by layers of misguided core beliefs developed in childhood. What questions would you ask if you had such deep, clear wisdom?
# 8 - Lucid dreamers practice and improve skills in real life.
In "Explore the world of lucid dreams " shows Stephen LaBerge the testimony of a doctor who performed surgical procedures in his sleep the next day. He boasted a reputation for excellence for being able to refine and polish his techniques much faster than the average surgeon.
Indeed, any physical ability can be improved during lucid dreaming because the tangible experience is transferred to real muscle memory. Mental and emotional responses can also be realistically studied to improve skills such as speaking in public. Quite simply, practice makes perfect.
# 9 - Lucid dreamers are sure to overcome fears and phobias.
If you are afraid of heights, what is preventing you - in a dream - from jumping out of an airplane? Not only are you completely safe, but you can also slow down time, control the fall and gently float to the ground.
After doing this exactly like this at 10,000 feet, lucid dreamers reported feeling much better about their fear of heights in the waking world.
As clinical psychiatrist J. Timothy Green reported in his article on lucid dreaming and post-traumatic stress disorder, dealing with a worst-case scenario positively creates new neural patterns in your subconscious to overcome fear forever.
# 10 - Lucid dreamers process grief by reuniting with lost loved ones.
When we lose loved ones, we feel like there are some unfinished business.
Whether death came suddenly without warning or slowly and predictably, we would all take this opportunity to spend another hour with the deceased.
Clear dreams of the dead can provide psychological therapy for the bereaved. They offer a capacity for mourning and healing, even if you feel that the deceased are not really visiting you and that it is only part of your psyche.
Clear dreams provide us with the closure we need to overcome our grief and move on with our lives
# 11 - Lucid dreamers explore their inner creative potential.
Conscious dreaming is an exceptionally powerful way to improve your creativity. In fact, some of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard took place in my lucid dreams.
The dreams reveal our most creative side through the free flow of ideas that come from the subconscious. In order to seek creativity in lucid dreams, I have found that there are two fairly effective methods:
- either call the dream to show you some form of inspiration.
- Or actively visit a place of inspiration, such as a painter exploring an art gallery of the future or a musician listening to his favorite composer.
# 12 - Lucid dreamers discover new "worlds" that are beyond words.
The lucid dream world consists of many different realities. Every time you wake up in a new dream scene, you will experience strange things and discover new landscapes. They are all completely tangible and lifelike.
Just like in science fiction, you can teleport into parallel worlds, explore different timelines, visit strange planets and travel to the tenth dimension.
This is an exciting proposition that will allow you to explore the nature of the physical universe as your vast unconscious mind imagines it to be.
You can even initiate an out-of-body experience (OBE) in a lucid dream and explore what is known as the astral realm.
The more you examine the possibilities of clarity, the more wonderful applications it creates.
The trick is not to limit yourself to self-criticism or judgments and see where the horizon leads you. No lucid dream is in vain.
The dream landscape and your waking ego are linked so that you can use this playground for deep personal growth and all kinds of insights.
I love the sheer freedom that clarity creates ...
Freedom that allows me to fly high as a bird without the fear of falling. Or walking through solid objects. I can visit anyone and do whatever I want.
And beyond the novelty of wish fulfillment, it offers me a direct channel, both to the awareness behind the dream and to my unconscious self, which enables me to heal past fears and griefs. This enables me to see myself in a whole new light. It's breathtaking stuff.
Like everything that sounds interesting and valuable, lucid dreaming is not always easy to learn.
But anyone can do it with practice and patience.
If you are new to this concept, then just reading this article will have planted the first seeds of lucid dreams!

Is Lucid Dreaming Real?In contrast to many other concepts, lucid dreaming can be scientifically proven in the laboratory and the effects can be reproduced again and again.
